BIOGRAPHY

Carol Prusa is a mid-career museum artist whose works embody the sublime and are charged with an extreme attention to detail that makes them seem to probe the heart of life’s mysteries. Known for her contemporary and large-scale use of silverpoint, Prusa has been awarded visual arts fellowships from the South Florida Cultural Consortium, the State of Florida, SECAC Artist Fellowship, and the Howard Foundation through Brown University. Her work is in the permanent collections of many museums, including the Perez Art Museum, Museum of Art – Fort Lauderdale, the Hunter Museum of Art, Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, and Telfair Art Museum, and she exhibits her work internationally. Carol Prusa was born in Chicago, Illinois. She lives and works in South Florida.
